NBOP's Weeklong Leadership Training is a five-day and four-night training that has been designed for leaders in NBOP. The training is a comprehensive look at our methodology for community organizing. Training sessions include: How to organize through relational one to ones, organizing effective meetings, cutting issues and actions, developing a power analysis, launching strategic campaigns, and more. 

 

In this training participants will be exposed to organizing theory and also participate in exercises to apply the theory in practice. Everyone will have the opportunity for self-reflection about how we show up in our community.

What to expect:

• This is an overnight training of 4 nights and 5 full days at the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center. This training is designed for members and leaders of NBOP to develop essential grassroots organizing skills.
   

• Meals, snacks and onsite amenities are provided. After registration, we will follow up with logistics details and a FAQ guide.
   

• This training is offered at sliding scale. If you or your organization are unable to cover the registration fees at $300, $200 or $100, please sign up using the “scholarship” option below if you are a member of NBOP or a student leader of Latinx Student Congress.
