Do you feel like the current housing system is unjust? Do you dream of more dignified housing for you and your community? Together, we can fight back against oppressive housing and land policies and bring a better way into being.
Six years ago, hundreds of tenants from across Sonoma County convened for our first-ever Renters Assembly to assert our collective political power and create a unified platform to address oppressive housing systems.
Since 2018, we’ve built dozens of tenant associations in apartment buildings and mobile home parks across the County, from Petaluma to Cloverdale. As we’ve strengthened renter power over the years, we continue to win just housing policies – including the COVID-era eviction moratorium and Sonoma County’s first citywide Just Cause eviction protection in Petaluma.
We envision a county where land and housing are a means of enriching our community and providing economic stability for poor and working people. Our collective vision of housing and land justice is one of liberation.
If you share these values with us, join us at our upcoming Renters Assembly.
